STEAM LABS
The trinomial made up of civil society, private and public sector has managed to distribute more than 1,200 robotics kits to teachers in different regions of Panama, thus equipping the schools of these professionals who work in public schools.
The general objective of STEAM Labs is to raise the quality of education of General Basic to Secondary School levels in the oficial educational centers of the Ministry of Education, Infoplazas (*) and Professional and Technical Institutes (PTI'S), through the provision of Educational Robotics and STEAM equipment.
The main partner and financier of this program in Panama has been the Directorate of Social Assistance and Office of the First Lady.

The infoplazas are centers that provide access to internet, information, training and knowledge, aware that it is necessary for the socio-political, economic and intellectual development of a better Panama.
ROBOTIC KITS
Educational technology is becoming more and more present and necessary in the classroom, connecting the teacher and the student. UNESCO's 2022 Global Education Monitoring Report analyzed the main trends for the incorporation of technology in educational contexts and highlighted Robotics as one of the skills with the greatest potential for application, as a catalyst for learning and a direct link to productive inclusion throughout life.
In this sense, the implementation of this program in different schools, centers and related institutions must complement the training of tutors in virtual robotics platforms and coding in different programming languages with physical robots to transmit all this knowledge to their students. In this way, it will be possible to increase innovation in educational ecosystems and enhance the teaching and learning process, developing advanced skills and competencies for our students.

The application of interested schools, centers and institutions must have a sponsor who can finance the robotics sets. On the otherhand, FUNDESTEAM must carry out a survey to determine whether the school, center or institution has the necessary conditions to develop a robotics laboratory. If the minimum requirements are met and after having completed the necessary steps, the donation of Educational Robotics Sets, teacher training, baseline measurement of the impact on students and teachers and monitoring of participation in the various robotics tournaments, will be carried out..
