IMPACT

EQUITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

Understanding the constraints of our Latin American societies, FUNDESTEAM offers strategies that help improve children's and young people's access to STEAM methodology-based programs and, consequently, substantial improvements in their learning processes and preparation to face an increasingly changing and challenging world.
We have focused much of our work on the preparation of teachers and students in official schools and the presence of our programs in vulnerable communities. We are also concerned about the low participation of girls and young women in STEAM careers.

HISTORY

RUSIA
2014

Marvin Castillo, founder and CEO of FUNDESTEAM, attended the WRO Rusia 2012with his son, to participate for the first time in this event.
The experience inspired an epiphany about the need to develop the STEAM methodology associated with the WRO Panama.
Today Panama has a STEAM implementation program with hundreds of student success stories.
Thanks to the trinomial of the Executive Power (First Lady of the Republic), MEDUCA (Ministry of Education) and FUNDESTEAM, Panama was accredited as a WRO 2023 host country.

LATAM
2023

FUNDESTEAM is the Regional Representative for WRO in Latin America and the Caribbean to grow the WRO community.

PARTNERS AND ALLIES

FUNDESTEAM would like to recognize and highlight the work of our partners, who have worked side by side with FUNDESTEAM's programs during all these years, not only providing resources, but also ideas, value propositions and scalable proposals, follow-ups, volunteering and feedback to improve our work.
The alliances with our partners, allies and sponsors have had such a great impact on the lives of our young people that today we have a presence in 14 countries throughout Latin America where more young students continue to benefit from the STEAM methodology.
