STEAM PRE SCHOOL
Through this program, teachers are trained to develop STEAM teaching skills, integrating educational strategies adapted to the psycho-evolutionary development of pre-school students. The use of building blocks and robotics is favored for the logical-mathematical development of students.
In Panama, this program is directly supported by the Offce of the First Lady (DPD) and has become a flagship program of her administration. So far, 17 CAIPIS (Comprehensive Early Childhood Care Centre) and 10 pre-school educational centers have been integrated into the process of adopting STEAM methodology in the development of their daily activities with pre-school participants.

The application for Early Childhood Educational Centers must have a sponsor who can finance the robotics sets. FUNDESTEAM must carry out a tour to determine if the center has the necessary conditions to develop the STEAM program. If the minimum requirements are met and after having completed the necessary procedures, the center in question will have the donation of Educational Robotics Sets, training for teachers, baseline measurement of impact on students and teachers and monitoring of the impact of the program.
